It doesn’t matter what yarn you buy for this shawl; many LYS’s are featuring special yarns or you can mix brands, or make a one skein version. The Local Yarn Shawl is a boomerang shaped shawl, consisting of simple lace, textured, eyelet and mesh stitches. The pattern is written for two sizes: Small and Large. The small shawl only consists of one color but in a gradient if desired (560 yards); while the large shawl uses two contrasting or “blendy” colors (350 yards each.)

The lace is written out and charted.
