Nancy Whitman

I learned to knit and crochet at the tender age of eight from my paternal grandmother. Decades later I began to appreciate the gift she had bestowed. While I have explored many crafts – quilting, woodworking and stained glass, to name a few, knitting is the one that has always been with me. On a whim, I submitted my first pattern for publication to Twist Collective and, to my surprise and delight, it was accepted. Shani appeared in Twist Collective Fall 2011. Since then, I have been developing my own pattern line and even incorporated stained glass into some of the designs. Maybe one day I’ll figure out how to incorporate woodworking!
