Because you’re a bluejean baby.

Designed to help you use up a skein or two of variegated sock yarn, this top-down, drop shouldered pullover only looks like it’s stranded knitting. In reality, you only ever use 1 color on any row, and slip a stitch here and there to make it look like stranded colorwork.

An easy fit (just 1-3” of positive ease) makes it a cinch to fit and style, and with sizes ranging from 33-67” (finished bust)”, anyone with a bust size between 30” to ~65” bust can get a terrific fit. Short rows angle the shoulders downward to minimize underarm bulk and keep the sweater from giving you “wings” at the shoulders.

A photo tutorial is included to guide you through the construction. The slip-stitch pattern is charted only, but it’s super easy one (like “sl1, k5” to the end…), and the MC rows are just 2 rows of plain stockinette–really great for a chart-newbie! I still include a detailed How-To for reading these particular charts, and once you’re a few rows in, the pattern becomes very intuitive.
