Tinsmith is a top-down triangular shawl with bands of garter stitch between lace panels evocative of the patterning on tinware. Worked in a fingering weight Tinsmith is a wonderful wrap of a shawl that can be worn year-round. Try it in a merino single for a rustic feel, linen for a summer shawl and what about seasilk or pure silk for a luxurious version. Written for two sizes the smaller shawl is a very good size, the large a fabulously generous shawl.
