Boston Hooded Coat

$14.95

SKU: kCD_SMcCain_BostonHoodedCoat Categories: , ,

When I first moved to New England, I lived in Boston. Winters there were cold and windy, and this top-down hooded coat would have been the perfect survival gear. It’s got a roomy hood which blocks the elements, but looks great when not in use. The yarn I used recommended a gauge of 3.5 stitches to the inch, but I knit it slightly tighter (3.75 stitches) to give it a more dense fabric; keep this in mind if you’re planning on substituting.

This is a top-down, set-in sleeve pattern, with short-row shaping to shape the sleeve cap (instructions on how to work short rows are included). There are also tips on how to customize your fit.
