Shawl is knitted from side to side, then stitches are picked up from
each garter ridge along the shaped edge. The ruffle is knitted from
the picked up stitches.
Several charts, each with 12 rows, are used in the following
pattern. Charts A and B are used in the first (increase) side, and
Charts C and D are used in the second (decrease) side. After the
initial set-up rows, sections are broken into 12 row increments,
with instructions on order of charts used in each row.
